The leading aspirant in Ilode Ward I, Hon. Akobi Olawole, welcomes everybody to month of July. He appreciate God Almighty for His protection and guidance in the months past. 

In the congratulations message, Hon. Akobi said, "I want to congratulate everyone, most especially the people of Ilode Ward I, for scaling through all the past months in this year.

I appreciate God for His protection and guidance that are always new every morning. Making it to this month of July, which symbolises *PERFECTION*, is not by anybody's doing. It happened only by the grace and mercy of God. 

In this month of July, may sorrow, afflictions, tribulations, problems of any kind will never be our accomplice, but goodness, mercy, favour, grace, joy, peace of mind and riches of God, shall abide with us all. Amen."

In the same spirit, he appreciate all the leaders and members of Ilode Ward I for their support in the time past and at  present.

It is the day we all anxiously waited for and we thank God it is done and dusted. It wasn't a surprise today on the statement made at the screening venue to our principal. I remembered such statement was made to Hon. Sanya Omirin  at the NWC of PDP Abuja during the guber race.. Amidst all commissioners, the statement "YOU MAY TAKE YOUR BOW AND GO" was said to  our principal, Barr. Jimi Bada. Published by: Ogunsola Oluwasogo  The Ibadan Youth Progressive Indigenes Association (IYPIA), a socio-cultural group which consists of the well read youthful indigenes of Ibadan land has openly backed Governor Seyi Makinde's move on the elevation of Ibadan High Chiefs to Obaship status. The group in a press statement by its president, Aare Ogunmola Sakiru said the elevation of the high chiefs is a critical canon for progressivism in the anals of traditional rulership in Ibadan—  noting that the move by the Oyo State Government has the prospect of enhancing nation building in Ibadan land.
