OSUN STUDENT PRAYS: A Night of Intercession and Empowerment for Christian Students in Osun State.


The Christian student community across Osun State Institutions is preparing to gather for a night of fervent intercession and empowerment under the program tagged "OSUN STUDENT PRAYS." This annual event, now in its seventh year, aims to unite Christian bodies, institutions, and individuals in prayer and worship.


The 2023 OSUN STUDENT PRAYS will take place on July 14, 2023, at Union Baptist Church, Odi Olowo, Osogbo, Osun State, starting at 8:00 PM and continuing until dawn. Esteemed guest ministers have been invited to share powerful messages of hope and spiritual enlightenment. Reverend Tolu Agboola from Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Evangelist Moses Ade Babajide from Osogbo, Osun State, Pastor Segun Michael from Ogun State and Evidence Dan-Akande from Osogbo, Osun State will join Elder Niyi Fadipe, a renowned worship leader from Ilesa, Osun State, in leading the participants in worship and songs.


The theme for the 2023 OSUN STUDENT PRAYS is derived from Isaiah 60:1-3: "ARISE SHINE - The light has come." This theme emphasizes the significance of embracing the light and signals that the set time for transformation and spiritual awakening is now. The guest ministers will provide a deeper understanding of this topic and lead participants in powerful prayers.


After the vigil, all participants will embark on a Prayer Walk from the venue to Oke Fia Junction, where they will fervently intercede for the land, Osun State, and its inhabitants. This act of collective prayer and worship will serve as a unifying force, igniting the spiritual flame within the hearts of the participants and radiating God's light throughout the state.


Brother Oderinde Johnson, the State President of Osun Student PRAYS and a student at Igbajo Polytechnic Igbajo, passionately encourages all Christian students across Osun State Institutions to attend the 2023 OSUN STUDENT PRAYS. He firmly believes that God is poised to raise a generation of light-bearers, starting from Osun State. He urges them to invite others and arrive early, prepared to experience a life-transforming night of prayer and spiritual empowerment.

It is the day we all anxiously waited for and we thank God it is done and dusted. It wasn't a surprise today on the statement made at the screening venue to our principal. Published by: Ogunsola Oluwasogo  The Ibadan Youth Progressive Indigenes Association (IYPIA), a socio-cultural group which consists of the well read youthful indigenes of Ibadan land has openly backed Governor Seyi Makinde's move on the elevation of Ibadan High Chiefs to Obaship status. The group in a press statement by its president, Aare Ogunmola Sakiru said the elevation of the high chiefs is a critical canon for progressivism in the anals of traditional rulership in Ibadan—  noting that the move by the Oyo State Government has the prospect of enhancing nation building in Ibadan land.
